Mixer is about the kind of joy that happens when people come together without knowing exactly what the moment will become. Different personalities, conversations and energies overlap—some loud, some quiet, some only passing through. Nothing is perfectly organized, but somehow it works. There’s something beautiful about that spontaneous gathering: separate lives sharing the same space for a little while and creating something none of them could have created alone.

For me, this piece is about the way the mind tries to process too much at once. Thoughts overlap, separate, repeat and shift before anything feels clear.
The layered green and gray marks feel almost like fragments of information moving through the surface—some sharp, some blurred, some disappearing into the next. Up close, it can feel scattered and almost chaotic. But when you step back, you begin to see the pieces organizing themselves. The transition from light to dark becomes a kind of progress—the mind slowly sorting through the noise, finding connections and creating order.
There’s still no single focal point, because processing rarely happens all at once. Clarity comes gradually, piece by piece.

This piece is about the kind of anger that doesn’t explode—it builds. It sits beneath the surface, hot and restless, while everything above it tries to stay composed.
The flashes of red feel like heat breaking through, while the dark layers and heavy marks carry the weight of everything being held back. There’s tension in it, but also control. Because sometimes anger isn’t loud. Sometimes it’s what happens when you’ve carried too much for too long and something inside you finally says, enough.

Absence is not empty. It lingers in the spaces once filled by conversation, laughter, and presence. It settles quietly into the rooms we once shared, where memories remain long after footsteps have faded.
Layers of color emerge and soften like memories drifting through time. Warm earth tones evoke comfort and familiarity, while cool turquoise introduces stillness, creating a space where remembrance and longing exist side by side.
An empty room is never just a room. It becomes a witness to the lives lived within it—the conversations, the celebrations, the heartbreak, and the quiet moments that shaped us.
Perhaps absence is not defined by what is gone, but by everything that refuses to leave us.
Some wounds are invisible.
They aren't found in tears or dramatic moments, but in the quiet ways we continue carrying on, knowing what has happened can no longer be changed.
The eye reflects an inward journey, while layered textures become a visual record of memory—pieces of a life forever changed, yet never gone. Vibrant colors emerge beneath the surface, representing moments of love, joy, and connection that grief never erases. Instead, they become inseparable from loss.
A sweeping gray veil drifts across the portrait, symbolizing the quiet weight grief lays over every memory. It doesn't erase the beauty beneath it; it transforms the way it is seen. Metallic elements catch the light as a reminder that even in our darkest seasons, we endure. Strength is not the absence of grief, but the courage to carry it forward.
This painting is an invitation to pause. To recognize a piece of yourself, or someone you've loved. Grief speaks a language every heart eventually understands. Though every story is different, it has the extraordinary ability to connect us through our shared humanity.

Strata is built on raw canvas through nearly 11 layers. Its surface carries the memory of every decision. Nothing has disappeared. Every layer remains, shaping what you see now.
Copper, charcoal and mineral tones catch and release light, shifting between the feel of weathered metal and ancient stone. Sanded areas expose fragments of what came before, while Fire Quartz is worked across the surface, adding actual crystallized earth to the layers and bringing with it an energy associated with grounding, clarity and transformation.
Strata is about what remains. The things we live through don’t simply disappear; they settle into us, layer by layer, becoming part of who we are. And like those layers, this piece doesn’t reveal itself all at once. Light shifts, textures surface, something you hadn’t noticed appears. It asks you to look again, to stay a little longer—and each time, there is something more to find.
